It would seem that the country of Qatar has offered up a gift of a Boeing 747 for President Trump to use as his new Air Force One. The aircraft described as a “palace in the sky” in an article by the Guardian, which you can find here, has an approximate value of 400 million dollars. The president has been waiting on a new plane for some time and apparently is willing to consider transforming this flying palace into the command and control center of the United States.

The aircraft would be transferred to the ownership of the United States Airforce which would convert and operate it until it is retired and transferred to the ownership of the Trump Presidential Library on 2029. The Attorney General of the United States Pam Bondi made it clear this was completely legal and could not possibly be considered a bribe by the nation of Qatar to the President.
Apparently the assurances by the Attorney General are not sufficient for some who are raising alarm bells about bribery and corruption taking place out in the light of day.
Say It Isn’t So
Do people really believe the President of the United States is corrupt? Did former President Biden leave some crime goo behind in the oval office that corrupted poor Donald Trump? It isn’t like President Trump had a criminal record… well prior to the 34 felony counts he was convicted on. It isn’t like the President and his family have ever benefited financially from foreign leaders right?
Ok, ok. So there was that small thing with the 2 billion Saudi Arabia committed to the presidents son in law. Obviously everything must be fine if Pam Bondi says it is after all the government has people who investigate foreign influence and corruption. Oh wait, I think I read something in Rolling Stone about that where they disbanded that unit. You can read that story here.
We Have To Face Facts
There isn’t really anything subtle about what is going on. From what I can see this is just another in a long line of cons and schemes by the Conman and Chief. What really bothers me isn’t what he has done or how much he makes. What really bothers me is how blatant his is going about it. It is like he thinks there will never be a time when the Justice Department isn’t under this thumb. Is it just because he isn’t thinking that far ahead or is it something more insidious.
